SPECIAL MESSAGE

               ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

The fact that Jesus died, was buried, and resurrected is the very foundation of salvation from sin. We can believe in these events even though we were not there to see them happen because of creditable, eyewitness testimony of those who did-men who gave their lives telling the story because they knew it to be the truth. Our assurance is made even stronger when we realizes all of the astounding details concerning these events took place according to the divine predictions of God in the Scriptures. As the apostle declared, "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures" (1Cor. 15:3-4).

The divine predictions given centuries before concerning what would take place were frequently referred to by the apostles when they preached the gospel. These references have been divinely recorded for our assurance and conviction. Let us consider some of the astonishing prophecies of the Messiah's death, burial, and resurrection.

Matthew tells us how Jesus was striped, beaten, and mistreated (Mt. 27:27-ff). God foretold this over 700 years prior through the prophet Isaiah. "I gave My back to those who strike Me, and My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard; I did not cover My face from humiliation and spitting" (Isa. 50:6). The scourging of Jesus, recorded by John (Jn. 19:1), was foretold in the Psalms. "The plowers plowed upon my back: they lengthened their furrow" (Ps. 129:3).

Crucifixion, the cruel type of death Jesus faced, involved the nailing of the hands and feet to a wooden cross. John tells of this crucifixion and how Jesus was mocked and striped, lot cast for His garments, sour wine given to Him in His thirst, etc. (Jn. 19). Centuries before Jesus' crucifixion, David by inspiration uttered these Messianic words, "My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?...All who see me sneer at me; They separate with the lip, they wag the head, saying, 'Commit yourself to the Lord; let Him deliver him; Let Him rescue him, because He delights in him...I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me. My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue cleaves to my jaws...They pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all my bones. They look, they stare at me; They divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots" (Ps. 22:1-16; cf. Ps. 69:20-21; Zach. 12:10).

The fact that Jesus was crucified as a criminal along with thieves was no accident. The prophet Isaiah foretold how the Messiah would be "numbered with the transgressors" (Isa. 53:12). While on the cross the legs of the criminals were broken to hasten their death. The legs of Jesus, however, were not broken as predicted in the Psalms. "He keeps all his bones; Not one of them is broken" (Ps. 34:20; cf. Jn. 19:33).

Jesus was crucified as a criminal, yet, as God had predicted through the prophet He was buried in a rich man's tomb. "His grave was assigned to be with wicked men, yet with a rich man in His death..." (Isa. 53:9; cf. Jn. 19:38-42).

The Messiah was also resurrected according to what had been predicted centuries before. The apostle Peter made several references to this fact in his sermon on Pentecost. "Brethren, I may confidently say to you regarding the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. And so, because he was a prophet, and knew that God had sworn to him with an oath to seat one of His descendants upon his throne, he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh suffer decay" (Ac. 2:29; cf. Ps. 16:8-10). Peter continued to also explain how David long ago in the psalms spoke of how the Christ was to ascend to the right hand of God, quoting from Psalm 110:1, "The Lord said to My Lord, sit at My right hand until I make Thine enemies a footstool for Thy feet" (Ac. 2:34-35).

The fact that we not only have credible, eyewitness testimony concerning Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, but also have these and many more amazing detailed prophecies concerning these events leaves no excuse for disbelief (Mk. 16:16).

Did you know?

The Bible is the text book of Christianity, and in every are of life it is generally agreed that a text book must be free from errors if it is to be trustworthy. Unless it is a text book  for experts only  it must also be simple to understand there may be some difficult subjects within it and few parts that require  special care if  the true meaning  isn’t lost but taken as whole.

The bible contains the mind of God the state of man the way of salvation the doom of sinners and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy its precepts are binding its histories are true and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise believe it to be safe and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you food to support you and comfort to cheer you

It is the travelers maps the pilgrims staff the pilots compass the soldier’s sword and the Christian charter. Here paradise is restored Heaven opened and the gates of hell disclosed.

Success!

Isn’t based on the ability to say Yes but on the ability to say No and to believe this just take a look at every successful man or woman or any one with honor ask them they will tell you that they learnt to say No .

I say it takes courage to be a man of God and it goes on as you find your identity by loosing it as well as loosing your identity by trying to find it.

You don’t make a success in life by concentrating on your weakness; you make a success by going to your strengths.

You just have to love Gods word because you are never too young apply it to your life because its life but some day you may be too old.

Many people, youths and children have leant to use what they can for Jesus take an example the our ministry involves Music, Dance and young evangelists who have committed their lives to serving Christ no matter any weather or present circumstance they have transformed fellow youth through their recognition of their God given gifts.

So again you can use what you have for Gods sake.

Faith!

Living a life of faith begins by having the right motive.

We know from scripture that without faith it is impossible to please the God (Hebrews 11:6.)

Therefore, the motive behind your faith walk should be only to please the father unfortunately too much emphasis has been placed on living a life of faith rather than living a life that pleases God. And as a result, most Christians merely see faith as means to obtain material possessions or specific benefits such as healing. Although your faith will bring these things to pass in you life its real purpose is to please the father

Habakkuk 2:4 says,…the just shall live by faith”. In other words faith is a life style.

However you cannot live a life style of faith without reading Gods word. Think of it this way without word inside of you there is no faith I guess iam sure and you are okay with it (romans10:17)

The success of your faith walk is based on the amount of word you have in your heart.

Faith that does not originate from the word isn’t faith at all. “You cant expect to receive something that isn’t in the Bible. If you are going to step out of faith in a particular area, make sure you have the scriptures to back up your steps.

To avoid making these faith mistakes follow Gods example by calling those things that be not as though they were.

….with his stripes we are healed” says ( Romans 4:17) there fore as the word of God says that we are healed by his stripes call your child healed as you administer the medication he needs.

Remember your goal is to live a life that pleases God.

Take time to read Gods word and learn what it says about your situation And as the word gets rooted in your heart, you are establishing your self in faith .So your potential to live by faith increases while the potential for making faith mistakes decreases.

general Tips

Many people think that sin is nothing more than a violation of human relationships. They consider an action sinful only if it is frowned upon by society, if it violates their own conscience, or if it is harmful to someone. To such people, correcting sin is nothing more than making things right with other people. When this is done they feel a peaceful release.

But sin is more than this. Sin is any deviation from God's will.

"All unrighteousness is sin." (1 John 5:17)

It may be doing what God disapproves.

"Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness." (1 John 3:4)

Or, it may be failing to do right.

"Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin." (James 4:17)

The grossest behavior toward another human being is sin only because it violates God's law. After committing adultery and murder, David wrote in a Psalm to God:

"Against thee, thee only, have I sinned and done this evil in thy sight." (Psalm 51:5)

This means that sin is more serious than most people realize and it explains the penalty attached to it:

"For the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23)

It means, also, that no man is forgiven until all is right with God.

THE PROBLEM OF SIN

Making a sinner right with God is not easy -- even for God. God is perfectly HOLY, and holiness makes any truce with sin impossible.

"Your throne, O God is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness." (Psalm 45:6-7)

God is infinitely JUST, and justice demands that He punish sin with that penalty which His justice prescribes for the guilty -- death.

"Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience." (Ephesians 5:6)

These facts involve men in a terrible predicament. He is a sinner. The very nature of God demands separation from man and man's punishment by death.

Man is helpless to solve the problem. He cannot deny the fact that he is a sinner; and no good works he may do can make him innocent. A man who has committed an undetected murder is not made innocent by living the rest of his life by the law.

Doing other things God has required does not give us credit to apply against our sins. Once we are sinners, we are as dead men.

"So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, `We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.'" (Luke 17:10)

SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM

"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, has made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)." (Ephesians 2:4-5)

God's love and grace do not compromise His holiness or justice. He struck the blow which justice required. But His love provided His own Son as a shield to receive the blow in place of sinful man.

"...He was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken." (Isaiah 53:8)

These words, written hundreds of years before Christ, were fulfilled in His death on the cross. A shield or protection from punishment is called a propitiation.

"And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world." (1 John 2:2)

FORGIVENESS CONDITIONAL

Though Christ is the propitiation for "the sins of the whole world," not all will be saved by Him.

"And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him." (Hebrews 5:9)

Obeying Christ requires believing, having faith in Him. If He is the Way, we must put our trust in Him.

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." (Acts 16:31)

This faith, of course, must be strong enough to create in us a resolve to turn from sin. This is repentance.

"And these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all man everywhere to repent." (Acts 17:30)

Our faith must be strong enough to prompt public confession.

"For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation." (Romans 10:10)

And we must believe sufficiently to be baptized.

"He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." (Mark 16:16)

This baptism puts us into Christ where we are children of God by faith.

"For you are all sons of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." (Galatians 3:26-27)

It is when we are buried with Christ in baptism that God makes us alive.

"Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."(Romans 6:4)

Once we are in Christ and have this new life, we are forgiven of our sins when we continue to comply with God's conditions of forgiveness.

"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin...If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:7,9)
